Salesforce Cache Cleaner

Summary

Salesforce Cache Cleaner does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data. The extension performs local cache-clearing actions on the user’s device for Salesforce domains only.

What the extension does

The extension clears locally stored cached data related to Salesforce domains (*.salesforce.com and *.lightning.force.com) so that newly deployed Lightning Web Components (LWCs) and other Salesforce changes can load immediately without requiring multiple manual page refreshes or wiping the browser cache entirely.

Data collection

No user data is collected. The extension does not access, read, or transmit:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Health, financial, or authentication information
• Personal communications (emails, chats)
• Location data or IP addresses
• Web browsing history or website content
• User activity such as clicks, keystrokes, or network monitoring

Permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions required to operate:

• activeTab — to detect if the active tab is a Salesforce page.
• browsingData — to clear cached data for Salesforce domains only.
• host_permissions for *.salesforce.com and *.lightning.force.com — to target cache clearing to Salesforce pages.
• scripting and tabs — to reload the Salesforce tab after clearing cache and ensure changes take effect.
• notifications — to show a confirmation that cache clearing completed successfully.

All actions occur locally in the user's browser; no data leaves the device.

Remote code

This extension does not load or execute any remote code. All code is bundled with the extension and runs locally in the browser.
